Bournemouth have continued their impressive form in the Championship with a hard-fought victory over West Ham United on Saturday. The Cherries, who finished the season as champions of League One, showed their class against a side that has struggled this season.

The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating chances throughout the game. However, it was Bournemouth who eventually took the lead through a well-taken goal from Ryan Fraser. The winger cut inside and fired home from distance to give his side the lead they needed.

West Ham were not to be denied, however, and equalised just before half-time through a fine strike from Michail Antonio. The striker headed home after good work from Declan Rice, giving the visitors hope going into the break.

Both sides continued to create chances in the second half, but it was Bournemouth who came closest to winning the match. A header from Steve Cook was blocked by the West Ham defence, but the ball fell kindly for Josh King, who volleyed home from close range to level the scores once again.

Despite the late equaliser, Bournemouth went on to win the match thanks to a late goal from Fraser, who scored the winner from the penalty spot. The Cherries now sit top of the table with a game in hand, and will be hoping to maintain their impressive form when they face off against Derby County next week.
